If you know me at all then you know that I'm a sucker for quotes. One of my favorite shows One Tree Hill is known for their quotations. Especially at the end of the episode. That show has a tendency to make me shed tears. The tears aren't always sad ones. Sometimes I may cry because I'm currently in that situation and I can relate or the quote is just that damn deep. Well, there are so many quotes that stick out to me, but this is the one that I'm thinking about right now.
At this moment, there are six billion, four hundred seventy million, eight hundred eighteen thousand, six hundred seventy one people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good and some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls, and sometimes all you need is one.
In the past I've said that with all the people that I'm surrounded by, I tend to still feel alone. I know I shouldn't but I do. That quote is one of those quotes that made me cry. I cried because it is so true. See I think that the thing is, sometimes a person doesn't understand how much of an impact they can have on your life. How much of an influence they have. I think that people don't understand that a smile can change a persons day. One person. One is such a tiny number compared to the number of people that are in the world. But if you have one person who will hug you when you need it, listen when you need to talk, lend their shoulder for you to cry, someone who doesn't judge you and someone to laugh with you I think that you'll be okay.
I guess that I said all of that to ask if you have a person in your life like that? Someone that you can go to regardless of the situation and they're there for you. I know a lot of people will say that they have multiple people who they can go to for different situations, but that's now what I mean. This is called the The Power of 1. If you have a person like that in your life, do they know what they mean to you? If you do have a person like that in your life and you think that they don't know what they mean to you, I think that you should take a minute and tell them. Even if you aren't the share your feelings type. Life is short and that is one of the things that I think a person would like to know. It would make you feel better and you could have made their day in the process.
